COST ESTIMATOR (YACHTING). Ft. Laud., FL. H.S. Dipl. + 12 mo. exp. in accounting for the yachting industry incl.: provisioning (food, supplies, fuel, equipment), expenditures, cost controls, budgets, inventories, payroll, foreign flag vessels, charters + at least 3 yrs. undergraduate study in accounting req’d (or for. equiv.).  Prepare cost estimates for large-scale marine electronics engineering company to determine costs of electrical installations, repairs, refits. Gather data to estimate costs for projects. Consult w/clients, vendors, professionals to discuss, formulate estimates, & make adjustments. Review/analyze plans, surveys, other docs. to prepare estimates. Prepare estimates to select vendors. Plan, organize, schedule orders/deliveries. Audit/analyze cost data & timelines to assess performance & cost effectiveness. Monitor collection of foreign fees to U.S. bank account & transactions related to foreign flag vessels. Participate in project inspections to assess cost, quality control, improvements. Coordinate internal resources & logistics: materials, labor, equipment, vendors to execute projects. Prepare cost statements & reconcile estimates w/costs. Prepare & maintain directory of suppliers/vendors & set up monitoring & reporting systems. Attend industry trade shows to keep up to date on new products & costs. Software req’d.: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Quickbooks, Xero.  Weekly travel req’d. to vessel sites in S. FL (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach). Travel req’d. in the U.S. 1x/yr. to attend industry trade shows.
